The South Australian Green Business Directory is an exciting initiative which aims to profile and list businesses delivering environmentally sustainable products and services in South Australia and to encourage sustainable business partnerships.

The South Australian Green Business Directory will be distributed to major businesses in South Australia and presents a unique opportunity to stand out and promote your environmentally responsible business, expose your goods and services to an enlarged customer base, and communicate your achievements in the South Australian marketplace.

The Directory will enable your prospective clients to easily find the information they are looking for including: business name, address, telephone and fax numbers, email address and company website, in addition to a products and services description. The Directory's scope is not limited to any particular industry and therefore entry is open to all green businesses.

Applications are now open. Please follow the steps below to list your business in the 2006 South Australian Green Business Directory. Applications close 30 December, 2005. Please note: All documents are in PDF format – please ensure Adobe Acrobat is installed.

Applicants are required to fill out the Nomination Form and Payment Form and submit these documents via fax or post. It is essential to attach any relevant documentation (e.g. membership of any recognised Australian Environmental Assessment organisation, product specifications, etc.). Applicants must clearly demonstrate that the nominated business is engaged in production of environmentally sustainable goods and/or delivery of environmentally sustainable services.

All Nomination Forms will be processed by the assessment consultant and the Directory’s coordinator from the Property Council of Australia. All applicants will be informed of the assessment decision.

The following criteria will be used to assess eligibility for inclusion in the Directory.

1. The business must have a South Australian address (a branch address is acceptable).
2. The significant part of the business should be providing goods and services that:

1. Prevent, measure, limit, minimize or correct environmental damage to water, air or soil, or
2. Prevent, measure, limit, minimize or correct environmental problems related to waste, noise and ecosystems, or
3. Contribute to and/or assist the projects aiming to prevent, measure, limit, minimize or correct environmental impact, or
4. Reduce environmental risk and resource use, or
5. Provide environmental management, audit and reports, consultancy, or
6. Deliver "environmentally clean" products or services which eliminate or minimize a harmful affect on human’s health and well-being.

The Nomination Form has been designed to assist businesses with their application process and demonstrating the sustainable nature of their products and/or services.

The Payment Form lists the various methods of payment and allows you to select your entry preferences and available Discount Packages.

The following Distribution Policy relates to those applications which request multiple entries:

Discount Packages – Applicants will be distributed with the number of printed publications as per the conditions of the first entry. In addition to receiving a percentage discount on the next two entries of the same value; applicants will be distributed with the number of CDs as stipulated in the Discount Packages Table on the Payment Form for each respective discount code.

Combination of Entries – If you are applying for a combination of entries which are not described in our discount packages, you will be distributed the number of printed publications as per the conditions of the entry with the highest value. The printed publications of all subsequent entries of equal or lower value will be substituted with CDs.
